COMPLIANCE AND ACCOUNT SECURITY

How q50 Handles Your Data and Account

We take account security and data handling seriously because your trust in these processes is what keeps your experience on q50 consistent and fair.

Data Retention

We retain your account data — including transaction records for UPI, Paytm and PhonePe payments — for as long as your account is active and for the statutory period required under applicable Indian law after closure.

Cookie Handling

Our platform uses session and preference cookies to keep your account logged in and to remember your lobby settings. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser; disabling them may affect some account features.

Account Security Practices

Your account is protected by password hashing and two-step verification where enabled. We never store your UPI handle, Paytm credentials, or PhonePe PIN — payment authentication happens on the respective provider's own secured gateway.

Who Holds Your Data

q50 is the data controller for your account information. We do not sell personal data to third parties. Payment processors handle transaction data under their own privacy terms, which we link to from the payment section of your account.

Requesting Changes

You may request a correction to your account details or ask us to delete data we are not legally required to retain by submitting a written request via email. We will confirm receipt and act within 30 days.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These terms are drafted with reference to applicable Indian law. Access and eligibility depend on your local regulations. Any dispute arising under these terms will be addressed through the process set out in the dispute resolution clause.

Answers to Your Terms Questions

These are the questions we receive most often about how our terms apply to your account, your payments via UPI, Paytm and PhonePe, and your rights as an account holder on q50.

The terms take effect the moment you complete account registration and confirm acceptance. Any update to the terms takes effect from the date of publication; continuing to use your account after that date means you accept the revised version.

We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered address and a notice on the q50 homepage before the change goes live. Minor corrections may be made without advance notice, though the updated text is always available on this page.

The core terms apply equally regardless of which payment rail you use. Specific processing times and verification steps may vary by provider — UPI and PhonePe typically clear in under a minute, while Paytm wallet transfers may take slightly longer depending on your wallet balance status.

We may suspend or close an account found to be in breach. You will receive written notice citing the specific clause breached. Where a balance remains, we will outline the process for returning funds where no breach-related forfeiture applies under the terms.

Send an email to our data team from your registered address, stating that you are making a data access request. We will compile and send a readable copy of your account and transaction data within 30 days of receiving your verified request.

Access to our platform depends on local law and is available where Indian regulations permit. India-specific conditions relating to payment methods, currency handling, and eligibility verification are set out in the payment and eligibility clauses of the full terms document.

Raise a formal dispute via email, quoting your account ID and the decision you are contesting. Our terms team will review the relevant account history, reference the applicable clause, and provide a written ruling within five business days.
